Description

NO CAMPING HORRIBLE Road to get there, steep and in very bad condition. Driveway is almost un-useable.

They don't allow to camp anymore. there s a new law apparently that doesn't allow people to camp within 3km from the city. so they have shared bedrooms for 15000clp. Nice common area. may be challenging to come up to the entrance when raining. it get s chilly at night.

We really liked the hostel. Everything is a bit rustic, like you’re in an alpine hut. A bed in a dorm is 8500 pesos (without breakfast) and 10000 pesos (with breakfast, self-made bread).
It’s a bit hard to get there, but worth it. The little girl has grown and she’s very cute.
In the house it’s a bit cold, take enough clothes with you. The shower is hot.

No, just no! Tim, the owner is a nice guy and we had a good place to do some really needed bicycle repairs (greasy) in a wood shack but other than that this choice was awful. The cabin/cabana is now occupied by Tim's mother-in-law so it is not available. She "runs" the place. She is incredibly rude, in the 3 days that we were stranded here we never did get her name and the icy cold shoulder...just wow! We stayed in a double with private bath for 35,000 CLP per night however we had no hot water and the only hot water was in the men's shared bath. There was no water in the women's shared bath. Now the fun part, a screaming, crying, tantrum throwing 2 year old that reigns over this place. WiFi was super fast, best we've had but it wouldn't reach into our room so we were forced into the common area with the 2 year old. UGH! We did have use of the kitchen but again we had to deal with the tantrums. The kitchen was horribly filthy, dirty dishes stacked in both sinks. We were the only guests for the first 2 nights and it never changed. If you want peace and quiet, don't stay here!

We were not allowed to stay here, so it looks like they no longer offer the camping option.

This is a hostel/camping but campers can make use of indoor facilities, a nice arrangement. Owner is originally British and very friendly and helpful. We parked below the hostel and could charge our electronics, enjoy hot showers, and use the common room/kitchen. Price for camping was $5000 pppn.

This place is ace. Super chilled, beautifully maintained wooden hostel. Really spacious social area and fully equipped kitchen. Camping 5k. Going to be hard to leave!

Very nice hostel and owners. Stayed with two cars in front of the building. Fastest WiFi in Chile! :-)

Lovely place for camping or simple rooms, though Tim and Maria were away when we visited.

Flat areas to pitch tents CP5,000 pp. Can use all the facilities in the hostel which include nice hot showers, fully equipped kitchen, washing machine and hot tub. The hostel is a great place to hang out, sink beers and relax before hitting the road again. The owner Tim is heaps chilled and his wife Maria is a fantastic cook if you are lucky enough to get fed her cooking. We ended up staying 5 nights as we just loved it. Fast wifi too.

This is basically a hostel, but smaller vehicles should be able to camp at the dirt parking by the gate - not exactly level, but there are some stones/wood you can use.

Wifi barely reaches the parking lot, but there is a nice common room with a large stove, fast wifi and kitchen.

Hot showers either in one of the rooms or common showers.

The owner, Tim, is a great guy, and coming from UK speaks English. He has purchased the place in 2014.

There is also one camping on the north of the town, which was unfortunately closed in winter, and one in the national reserve, which was also closed and not very suitable for car camping.

There are no established campsites here, but we managed to camp next to the driveway below the hostel. The hostel common area is excellent, and the kitchen features a full-sized stove, sink and fridge. Big rigs might not be able to turn around here.
