Description

Amazing place, highly recommended! The owner and his wife have five greenhouses full of organic vegetables that are for sale, and they will make fresh bread on request. There is a big grassy area for camping, and a giant common area with kitchen (drinking water and gaz) and fire pit. There is a new room with 2 bunk beds and 2 large mattresses (8 persons). This place is also just across the road from Rio Simpson which is great for fishing! Internet was fast, the best we've had in 4 months in South America.
dont miss the mate lessons.

Laundry service possible. 2‘000 Pesos per kilo for wash and dry.

We are the last visitors for the season. It is advisable to check with Nacho before arriving.
There is also parking for several trucks. There is also the option of connecting to electricity.

Report Check-In

A very nice site. Nacho and his wife are very friendly. Laundry service over night.

Report Check-In

Nacho is a very helpful person and his lovely wife Sandra also offers laundry services, the showers are clean and warm

Report Check-In

Ruta 240 is a good option when you think about getting to Coyhaique. We decided to get to LTdS and we find a real nice spot.
Nacho gave us the option to set our tent under a roof (18000 for 2p).
Then we gather, cooked, and near to the fire we sang while he played his guitar!
Morning was sunny, mate-lessons where more than nice, and we left with a lot of gratitude and with a half a dozen of new friends!

Report Check-In

Highly recommend this place! Nacho is very nice and did a Mate lesson with us right away (in spanish so we can learn a bit) but his english is very good too. There is a big common room where you can cook and sit, charge your phone etc. good cell reception. We would definitely stay here again without hesitation. 10000 per person per night but totally worth it.

Report Check-In

Very nice campground! Warm welkom and a free and very interesting mate lesson by Nacho. Clean toilets, nice shower and a large communal area. Good WiFi. Definitely recommandable!

Report Check-In

very nice and welcoming place. good to know about Maté. and Nacho lend us is fishing rod for the afternoon with good advice 👍. Big community area with ping pong table. overall a good place in case of heavy rain

Report Check-In

Nacho is indeed a very nice host! Very talkative and can offer a lot of information if you ask. 10,000pp. The mate ceremony was really nice! I wouldn’t call it a campsite, more like you are parking on a grassy field next to the community house. Stove available for cooking and very clean bathrooms. I think Nacho has OCD about the bathroom cleanliness. Showers can be hot but sometimes they weren’t. We stayed two nights and it was very nice. Also, there is no more bread for sale here, just lettuce. Great place overall!

Report Check-In

What can i say, a slice of heaven on earth. I only wish we had more time to spend here with Nacho and his family. Showers and bathrooms clean, all sites very clean, river right across the street where you can fish and swim. But by far the best amenity, is the host !! Gracias Nacho por tu hospitalida, tu Matte, y tu tiempo. Que tengen un buen nuevo anoz. I hope to see you all again soon.

We had only a shower on the campsite, but is was the best shower from Chili. The owner was a nice guy who spoke English.

Report Check-In

Great place here. Always a good time. Nice people. I was here two years ago. BUT WITH COVID YOU MUST MAKE A RESERVATION! Go to their Facebook site. Nacho asked me to tell people. He can only take two groups at once. So reserve and enjoy!

Report Check-In

Very friendly people, quiet, stood with out big WOMO between appletrees, dog is allowed, got the mate- Zeremonie from the owner. Very Good laundry and an exellent homemade bred

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

Don’t miss it and enjoy the hospitality of Sandra and Nacho and the homemade bread. Excellent for fishing and swimming in the river next to the site.

Report Check-In

Highly recommend. Nacho and Sandra are so welcoming hosts. All facilities clean, we could get electricity, wifi was more or less working. In the evening they play the gitarre and invite to some sing-along, really cosy. Sandra bakes a really good big bread (3000p). Campign is 7000p per adult, 4000p per child. Yes, it is expensive like most of Chile, but you really get everything you need, incl. lots of advice what you can do in the region. We wanted to stay a night and stayed three.

Totally agreed with all the positive comments! The best camping in all the carretera austral!!
The common place with all the facilities is perfectly well made and clean, with a wide window viewing on the grassy camping area. Sometimes, nacho and sandra make a big fire inside and play guitar with everyone who want, we spent good moments there!
Nacho loves telling the patagonian traditions about maté and everything.
The prices increased a bit (7000 pp) but it worths it!
Try the homemade bread, big and tasty for only 3000 pesos!

Report Check-In

Opened from the 1st of November to the 1st of April.
6,000 CLP per person + 1,000 per person if you want to visit the green house.
We don't share everybody's enthusiasm: the common area is very nice, the bathrooms have hot water and the Wi-Fi is pretty fast, but if you like your privacy this place isn't for you. We felt like Nacho was talking too much and lecturing us (which is different than giving tips or sharing one's passion). Even when he came playing guitar, it felt fake and in the end the 2 days we spent there were kind of oppressing (he didn't stop talking even when we were in the bathroom brushing our teeth...).
Maybe our feeling of a constant show comes from the fact that we were the only ones in the camping and that was the beginning of the season.
We've been sharing a lot with locals for the past 6 months but this didn't feel authentic.

Report Check-In

Closed for the season. Look for a closed sign hanging below their main sign on the carterra. If removed, likely it is open again.

Report Check-In

Sandra and Nacho have made a gem of a campsite. One of the nicest campsites we have stayed so far in Chile. Very laid back place with great views to the mountains. The river is great to hang out at for an afternoon and easy walk to a small shop.
The owner and his wife are friendly warm-hearted and enjoy playing guitar for the campers and have a fire pit at night in the building for when it rains or when cold. The lady baked us bloody nice bread. Some of the cleanest nicest showers and toilets we have seen in campsites in Chile.
Grass is soft to camp on and there's parking for the motorcycles.
Definitely a place to visit.

Also gave us lots of fishing tips and places to go, in addition to a wonderful lesson on drinking mate. Bathrooms awesome, best hot shower in a long while.

Beautiful location, lovely Patagonian landscape! We stayed one night, nice hot shower, shared a lot with Nacho and Sandra the owners and had a nice dinner. You have a cool common area with kitchen available. Shared mate with them and they showed us their farming methods. Beautiful worthy stop!

Report Check-In

Fantastic campground... Located directly on the Rio Simpson! Large open space for RVs wih easy access at the end of a secluded road. We were able to empty our waste water tanks and fill up with potable water. The campground has WIFI, electricity and hot water.
Also there is a large, fully enclosed common area (quincho), with a modern kitchen and the cleanest bathrooms we have encountered in Patagonia.
The owners are very friendly and have a wealth of knowledgeabout the region. If you are interested in gaucho culture, do not miss the free lessons about the history and rituals of yerba mate.
Highly recommended!

Report Check-In

We were there on a very cold & wet night. Charged is 5,000clp pp (even kids) to park our rig in front of their house. Pricey given we didn't need to use any facilitates. The common area would have been nice but there was no firewood so it was too cold to hang out. Owners are helpful and friendly. Would not recommend if you're rig is pretty self-contained.

Report Check-In

What a lovely campground/hostel! Nacho and Sandra were great, as others have said there is a mate class each day (very informative) and Nacho likes to play Chilean songs for the guests, sometimes with his wife and sometimes with guests singing and playing too. There was a lovely community atmosphere here and we were very glad we decided to stay. The bathrooms were cleaned multiple times a day and showers were piping hot! We camped under some apple trees in the rain and had no problems with water getting in or under the tent. Homemade bread was delicious (I don't think it's available every day, only if many people want it). The campground closes for the season at the end of March.

Really a Good place to rest. No dificulteis to big RVs. The price is 6.000 pesos/person/day. We sugest don’t plug the eletric energy , to us is very expensive. They charged 2.000 pesos/per day and we never used this more than one hour/day. Good and clean place. The owners are very friendly.

Had a great time camping here. Great hot showers. Plush grass, and cozy common area. Nacho gave a nice mate lesson. And it is one of the Primere places in the world to fly fish.

Report Check-In

Looks like an unassuming flat, grassy lot, but the large common area with fire place and kitchen makes it nice (although it was still cold since it's half open). A bit pricey with 6000pP but they got nice hot showers. Internet was slow. Nacho and Sandra are very friendly and he's a big entertainer and good guitar player. They farm delicious organic lettuce. They arranged a mega-delicious asado for our group at 10000pP. It cost us and a lamb an arm and a leg to be here but it was a good experience overall (probably not for the lamb).

We spent two nights here and loved it! We lucked out because they normally don't open for the season until November, but other travelers arrived the day before we did and Nacho and Sandra agreed to open for them. Then some bike tourers showed up to stay, and then we arrived. It has been fun! We paid 6,000 pesos per adult and 3,000 pesos for our 6 year old son to camp in our van. We also paid 3,000 pesos for a large loaf of freshly-baked bread and 1,000 pesos per kg for laundry.
