Something not right?

Description

Nice place with big grassy areas, and lots of trees. Lots of grills, and there is a nice covered common area with a small kitchen for when it rains. It's a short walk to town and the beach. Internet was very hit or miss, most of the time it did not work. Watch out for a biting dog!

This could be a super campsite if they clean the bathroom. Location is good with walking distance to city. Lots of trees, power point at each site. Shower is hot and with good pressure. But boy I have never seen a bathroom so dirty. All the bins in each toilet cubicle are overflowing with toilet papers . They have not clean nor empty the bins for ages…… we end up use the fertility in our motorhome. Paid 24000 for 2 person + 1 motorhome.

Report Check-In

The camp site itself is beautiful and in a good location. As other said, toilets are worn down and dirty at times. The trash on the bathroom was not taken out during the two days we stayed. Negotiating the price of 12000 pP was not possible. Internet at the reception was ok. The kitchen house apparently good destroyed during a storm. Ok for staying a night or two.

Report Check-In

12,000/person. We stayed here as it was very close to downtown Pucon. Walking distance to sight seeing at Villarica Lake. Lots of dogs from the nearby houses (so we used earplugs while sleeping!)

We enjoyed the little view of the tiny freshwater spring by our campsite.

Bathrooms were okay. Some shower stalls were out order.

People working there were nice friendly.

We only stayed there for one night.

Report Check-In

We stayed there for 3 nights. Nice spots to plant a tent (12,000p/p for 1 night in low season), table, light and electrical system for each spot.
Toilets are very clean but not the showers. Bring your toilet paper. Hot showers in the men's bathroom only. There isn't a kitchen to cook either a roofed-place where we can do it. Bring your own cooking set. There are barbecues that you can use.

Report Check-In

great campsite walking distance to lake and town! lovely hot showers after 7pm evening and until midday in morning! toilets and showers were cleaned everyday while we were here! we had BBQs on the grill and enjoyed the atmosphere of this lovely campsite 12000 pp but worth it for proximity to town if you want to have break from driving

Report Check-In

We could negotiate a bit: 11.000 pppn.
Toilet‘s are fairly okay.
You hear the road and the activity ground, however short walking distance to town, which is great.

Report Check-In

Stayed here a night after failing to find a place to wildcamp in our van. Amazing location, camping in the forest and close to town. I would ignore the other comments about the filthy showers and rundown bathrooms - whilst they are in amazing conditions, they certainly aren’t that bad and We have stayed in and used much worse :)

Report Check-In

Expensive for a dirty campground 24000p for 2
Filthy showers and bathrooms. Looks like this camping has not been maintained for years.
Only positive point is the location next to town.

Report Check-In

Dirty campground, filthy shower. Looks like it hasn't been maintained for years. Only positive is the location.

Report Check-In

Nice place Under trees, clean, Walking to the town and the beach / Harbour in 5 minutes. And good restaurant near by. 24.000CLP (2p/night) Hear the bigger street at day- night very silent

Report Check-In

They raised their prices to 25000 CLP per person per night because of the eclipse, so we left as well

Report Check-In

8000 ppn - still to expensive what you get. So we left :(

Report Check-In

9k during main season and 6k during off season. Camping site quit run down with plugs not working, hot water at showers dysfunctional, dirty kitchen with trash inside, toilets with dysfunctional flush... really not even worth half of the off season price, plus they demanded us to pay everything in advance (cash only). Would definitely not come back here again...which is a pity because it used to be a lovely camping ground.

Report Check-In

Paid 8,000 Chilean pesos per person including our kids (8 and 6 years old) for two nights. By far the highest price we’ve paid this trip. In hindsight would have wild camped. However owner Ingrid very nice. Sinks to wash dishes and clothes. Showers and toilets dirty. Warm water limited hours (fluctuated between warm and cold). Road noise.
Positives are lots of shade and trees. Close to town and lake. Small play area for kids. Pretty, clear river runs through campground. Tons of parrots.

Report Check-In

Just went there, it’s now 9000 pesos per person and no way to negotiate

Report Check-In

The price is now 9000 pesos per person/night

Report Check-In

They now charge 9000 pesos per person per night! But, on the plus side, there are puppy's!

Report Check-In

as previously posted, nice and friendly.
looks as if it had better times, but all worked (Internet at reception, hot water shower).
kitchen not really clean, but okay.
very close to beautiful center and beach.

Report Check-In

Camping ok. 6000cp pP expected a bit more for almost 20$. Toilets clean but showers not really. Overhaul would be good idea....But everything in town walking distance, wifi signal close to reception good.

Report Check-In

Camping with lots of shadow. Medium size spots with table, electricity and when we came back at night a lightbulb had been out up.
Close to the road but the river evens out the noise.
Good wifi at the reception, hot showers in morning and evening.
Bathrooms were not overly clean though but we've seen worse.
Very good location near beach and center
6000pp

Report Check-In

Small lots and very grubby showers. Expensive for what you get at 6000 pesos p.p.

Report Check-In

really nice spot, paid 6.000 pesos, a bit noisy with the road but it was fine :)

Report Check-In

Nice friendly caretaker. Facilities with potential but toilets and kitchen not clean. Perhaps closer to high season it improves? We were the only ones around. 6000p pp without negotiations. Internet very week. Apparently hot water available 24/7. We will test it tomorrow morning.

Report Check-In

Nice campground next to lake and village. Paid 7000pp. For hot showers we had to search for the right cabin. And the facilites weren't very clean.

Report Check-In

Excellent camp ground! As all mentioned before! 5*
Take spot closer to reception if WiFi is important to you! Short- ish range of signal! Enjoy

Report Check-In

Nice campground with good facilities and hot water. Friendly owner does not speak English. Close walking distance to town and beach. Recommended. Paid 6000/person per night.

Report Check-In

In need for a hot shower and a place to charge our batteries we were happy to finally find a camping open, everything in the area was closed. Were welcomed very nicely and had the place to ourselves. Its a bit old but everything works and very close to town. Good stop for us

Report Check-In

No Problem for Big Rig except at the Entrance, there is a wire, be carefull when you are higher than 3.30m
8000/Person/Night
Water and Electricity incl.
Poor Wifi when we were here.

Report Check-In

Good campground!
SouthAmerican Standard...
ok for a couple days.
We paid 6000 pP.
They are just making the campground ready for the season.
WiFi only at the reception office

Report Check-In

facilities are old and not well maintained but location is good. a bit noisy due to nearby roada, other than that quite quiet. Paid 6000pp.

Report Check-In

Nice place! Wifi excellent. Banhos calientes. $8000 pesos/ person

Report Check-In

Nicely wooded area with bbqs and plenty of shade. The bathroom facilities work but are very old and dirty. Wifi is an acceptable speed but only works within close proximity to the reception building. In October the site was open but completely empty. The price is 6000 clp per person per night, very expensive in our opinion based on the quality of the facilities, but there are no other camping options in Pucon.

Report Check-In

Facilities were old and dirty. 3 out of 4 toilets had excrements, cardbord floor in the urinal section(!!) smelled bad. All but 1 showers had mold fungus in them. We parked under trees, two days later the car was covered in bird droppings. Might be better in high season, but this is not worth the 6000CLP we paid. Unfortunately the only open camping site we found.

Report Check-In

Ok campsite, facilities were clean but old. Close to the road but noise was ok. We paid 6000 pesos pp because not high season.

Report Check-In

Nice and beautiful place. Kitchen which wasn't really working, but place to make a fire and hang out if it rains. Big road yes, but especially nights not too bad in my opinion. Bathrooms ok, have seen better ones but also a lot worse ones. Also have seen much worse Wifi's than here, worked all the time! (Maybe because not a lot of people here at this time). 6000/person. Would camp again.

Report Check-In

Extremely Bad road noise. Very busy. Loud speaking inconsiderate camp neighbours also didn't help. Shade on many sites. Let's say for all practical purposes that this place has NO WiFi. They claimed it was a problem all over Pucon but at the VERY nice Trawen restaurant it was working at blistering speed! I wouldn't camp here again.

Report Check-In

We stayed 2 days for 14000 pesos per night. Place was okay but the bathroom was in Bad conditions.
Internet just at the reception and Vers slow

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

The4Dutch. Good camping. 5000 P per night P/P traffic noise from the road.

Report Check-In

bathrooms a bit dirty.when we were there, Internet worked very well and even reached sites closest to the reception hut.

Report Check-In

At some point in time this place was really nice. It has all the right stuff for a good campground, but it was pretty run down and things only sorta worked while we were here. Wifi was only at the entrance hut and was almost too slow to be useful, bathrooms were dirty and hot water was not steady and required jumping in and out of the water, during rain the electricty only worked in the side of the camp by the bathrooms, but it was peaceful and quiet and relaxing and very dog friendly. 5000 p/p

Report Check-In

Stayed here two nights. Very quiet place (close to town) that could be amazing with a little work. Showers frequently fluctuate between hot and cold. Wifi very slow. We paid 5,000 pesos per adult (and no charge for our 6 year old son) to camp in our van.

Report Check-In

Big place....choose site carefully so you are away from road and have power box. Wonder what happened to the original German owners...the place is now really run down....but a good choice due to covered area and close to Pucon. Pucon has 3 huge grocery stores...with lots of luxery items like crunchier peanut butter, salmon, etc. amazing shopping. About 10 cats roam the campground so keep your tent zipped up.

Report Check-In

Off season. Extensive for what it offres. 5000PC/pp
Bathrooms dirty and very old.

Report Check-In

Ok place, the price was up to 5.000 per person in low season.

Report Check-In

Big camping areas with electricity, grills and tables. Hot water and wifi by reception. Busy in feb. Midweek parties with loud music until early hours of the morning. Walk to town and across the road from the lake.

Report Check-In

Stayed here twice - once in early-December when it was quiet and we basically had the place to ourselves goosing from nearly any site we wanted. The next time, in late January, high season was in full swing, and the only option was out on the from lawn across from the reception booth. Both worked out great. Hot showers available in the morning until noon and then again 7pm-midnite, but the showers ca get crowded in the evenings when all the beach goers come back. Bathrooms ok, not great. Wifi available near reception. Electricity and lights at each site, most with tables too.

Report Check-In

shady and large area, very nice pitches

Report Check-In

Overlanders meet up spot (overland trucks also stay here). Wooded camping area with a river running through it. Grassy clearing as well as sites in shade. Electricity, portable grills, water, picnic tables. Hot showers (limited hours) and toilets. 5 minute walk from centre of town. Cost CH$3500 per person per night.

Report Check-In

Nice place with big grassy areas, and lots of trees. Lots of grills, and there is a nice covered common area with a small kitchen for when it rains. It's a short walk to town and the beach. Internet was very hit or miss, most of the time it did not work.
